Class Ideas

What should I teach?

The awesome thing about Splash is you can teach anything you want! From Algebraic Topology to the Poetry of Yeats, anything that you think would make an interesting class can be a class. Take a look at course catalogs from Spring 2017, Fall 2016, Spring 2016, Fall 2015, Spring 2015, Fall 2014, Spring 2014, Fall 2013, Spring 2013, Fall 2012, Spring 2012, or Fall 2011 for some ideas if you need to. A Splash administrator once gave the wise advice to come teach the stuff that "your family is tired of hearing about at the dinner table."

Top requests from students at Splash at Yale include:

  • Biology and medicine
  • Robotics, programming, computer architecture, etc.
  • Graphic Design
  • Math
  • Engineering
  • Food
  • Foreign languages
  • Psychology
  • Origami
  • Dance
  • Art

Fine Print

Although we say you can teach "anything," we will not accept any classes that advocate illegal acts or classes on subjects that would not be appropriate for those under 18. If we have concerns about a proposed class, we will contact you and ask for more clarification. The administration team reserves the right to make the final judgment on whether or not any class will be put into the catalog.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
