X2275: Playlist-ing in Splash Fall 16 (Nov. 05, 2016)
We're gonna listen to a bunch of music. Well, more specifically, I'm going to be going over the unfathomably subjective concept of playlisting- how to make playlists for a variety of events. We'll be picking a mood or an event or something and then throwing together a quick playlist for it. Should be fun! Maybe you'll find some new favorite songs!

C2147: Sculpting Sound in Sprout Fall 16 (Oct. 01 - 15, 2016)
Hearing is definitely one of my top 5 senses. In this course, we'll learn about sound- what it is, how it do, and how to modify it for our own purposes. Here's a 70% complete topics list: What's sound? How does sound travel? How does sound interact? How do we hear? What happens if we tweak various aspects of sound? How do we build an environment for an audience through sound? Whatever questions YOU have!

S1978: Sound? in Splash Spring 16 (Apr. 02, 2016)
Waves are everywhere. In this lecture I'll be going over some basics of one way we make use of waves- in sound and sound production. We'll go over what sound is, how it travels, and how to manipulate it with a focus towards electronic music!

A1980: Intro to Acapella Arranging in Splash Spring 16 (Apr. 02, 2016)
Shows like The Sing-Off and Pitch Perfect are lots of fun to watch, but a lot goes into a real acapella group. We have to rehearse for hours and hours before we can go make music on stage. Not to mention actually making the songs we sing! In this class we'll be going over some considerations and philosophies for arranging for voices. Bring a favorite song! Time permitting, we'll arrange some of it!

X1981: Chen's Incredibly Idiosyncratic Entirely Subjective Take-A-Break Come-As-You-Like Discover Your New Favorite Artist Music Playlist Jamtimes in Splash Spring 16 (Apr. 02, 2016)
I... listen to a lot of music. I'll basically be DJ'ing music I really like for 2 hours. No real theme, just music I like. Maybe you'll discover a new favorite tune or artist! I'll have some fun facts about each song too, but it's more just a chance to hang out. Stop by with your friends and relax. I'll have snacks! And the following board games: 1. Exploding Kittens 2. Settlers of Catan 3. Magic: The Gathering Duel Decks
