Brief Biographical Sketch:

Zehra studied Human Biology, Health, and Society at Cornell, and is now in her second year of Law School combining her passion for science with law. She is a summer associate at one of the biggest law firms in the world where she works on high stakes patent and trademark cases for major tech companies in Silicon Valley. In her free time, Zehra loves surfing, playing basketball, writing poetry for her blog, cooking fusion recipes, and working on her tech startup for unhoused individuals in San Francisco.

Or perhaps you have the dreams of being a famous artist and want your songs copyrighted or your paintings trademarked. Or maybe you just really like watching Legally Blonde or Suits and want to understand the law better! There's something in this class for everyone. In this session we will explore the kinds of Intellectual Property (IP) Law, which is the law of protecting your ideas and innovation. The instructor will also briefly go over the law school application process, and provide tips for budding attorneys at the end.
