M2398: More than Equations in Splash TEST LOTTERY (Nov. 30, 2016)
Algebra is more than solving equations -- it's about making abstract observations in a rigorous way. We'll explore some basic ways that abstract algebra unifies numbers, geometry, and other aspects of math. By the end of the course, you will have a better understanding of what algebra really means to a mathematician.

S2399: Sports Science in Splash TEST LOTTERY (Nov. 30, 2016)
How fast does a goalkeeper have to dive to save a penalty? How quick does a batter have to react to hit the baseball? How fast does a quarterback throw the ball? In this fun class we'll take a look at the science and engineering (and physics) behind our favorite sports and answer all the above questions and more!

E1718: Sports Math in Sprout Fall 15 (Oct. 03 - 17, 2015)
The use of mathematics in sports is increasing at an exponential rate. Each game produces a wealth of data, but what exactly do the numbers tell us, and how can we use them to better understand our favorite players and teams? In this course, we'll take a look at some of the most pressing questions in sports. When should you go for it on 4th down? How much do different baseball stadiums affect performance? Is there such a thing as a "hot streak"? We'll analyze these questions and many more!

S1533: Sports Science in Splash Spring 15 (Apr. 04, 2015)
How fast does a goalkeeper have to dive to save a penalty? How quick does a batter have to react to hit the baseball? How fast does a quarterback throw the ball? C1421: Exploring Einstein's Theories of Relativity in Sprout Spring 15 (Feb. 14 - 28, 2015)
This class will take everything you know about physics and turn it on its head! You'll be introduced to ideas of special and general relativity and learn about some of the paradoxes associated with them, including how the laws of conservation of mass and energy are actually lies and how time travel is actually possible!
