Hi! I'm a first year Yale student from Bay Area, California. Bay Area climate is the best! New Haven weather is still a mystery to me. I identify as a first generational, low-income student. I am a prospective MCDB major thinking about premed.

E4152: An Exploration of Modern Art in Sprout Spring 2020 (Feb. 15 - 29, 2020)
Modern - specifically, abstract - artwork shocked the world in the 20th century. In this art history course, we will be looking at some of the most famous and recognized pieces of modern/abstract artwork and analyzing them together, as well as learning about the history and reception behind these works. Together, we will be attempting to answer the question, what were the big ideas behind this movement?


E3846: On Winning in Sprout Fall 2019 (Sep. 28 - Oct. 12, 2019)
What does it mean to "win"? How much is a first place title or gold medal worth? How far do we go in order to win? What do we give up, knowingly and unknowingly, in our quest for victory and success? Is it even possible to win, in the end? This class aims to dissect the multi-layered notion of "winning" as constructed by society. In-class reading of short article(s) related to topic followed by open discussion. Students are challenged to reevaluate their personal definitions of what it means for them to "win".
