Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hello! My name is Bea, and I am so excited to be teaching with Splash this spring! I absolutely love poetry, and I look forward to sharing that joy with all of you. English as a subject can sometimes feel very intimidating, but I hope to show you that it can be a ton of fun, too! :)

E4504: Reading and Writing Poetry in Sprout Spring 2022 (Feb. 19 - Mar. 05, 2022)
Let's get creative together and dip our toes into the genre of poetry! This course is a fun exploration of contemporary poetry, highlighting in particular how liberating it can be to both read and write poetry. As a class, we will discuss a few poems by contemporary authors, learn about the poets' techniques, and then write and share some poetry of our own!
