Brief Biographical Sketch:

Hello everyone! I'm Sreenivas, an aspiring History/Econ major from St. Augustine, Florida. My main academic interests are studying Soviet/Russian history and 20th century world conflicts, but I also maintain an interest in finance and modern global affairs as well. At Yale, I'm a board member of the Yale Review of International Studies, and I'm also involved in the Dwight Hall Socially Responsible Investment Group, TAMID, and Yale Effective Altruism. In my free time, I enjoy playing board games (huge Catan and Poker fan), watching/playing Tennis, and listening to Hip-Hop music (I'm a big J Cole and Kendrick guy).

X4648: Introduction to Investing and Personal Finance in Splash Fall 2022 (Oct. 29, 2022)
Have you ever thought about the stock market, wondered how people retire, or just want to figure out how to use, save, and grow your money efficiently? This course, taught by volunteer instructors from Yale’s Dwight Hall Socially Responsible Investment Fund, will teach students how to responsibly manage their personal finances now and in the future. Topics will include saving, borrowing, and creating an investment portfolio (covering topics such as diversification, index fund investing, and the power of compounding interest). No prior finance-related knowledge is required!
