In this class you will learn about the neuroscience behind addiction and the clinical correlates. We will discuss the current political and society views on substance use disorders, especially surrounding the current opioid crisis. Finally, we will touch on the stigma and health disparities people with a substance use disorder face. *These topics can be sensitive or triggering to those with a personal experience with these issues. Please come to class prepared to have mature, respectful, and safe discussions.
