Brief Biographical Sketch:
I am a junior at Yale University studying atmosphere, ocean, and climate dynamics. I've worked on projects related to Arctic Ocean properties and cloud physics. I'm especially interested in convective storm dynamics and hope to integrate that research with meaningful work in climate solutions. Outside of academics, I’m very interested in languages and have achieved a conversational level in French and Mandarin Chinese. I also sing with a collegiate a cappella group in my free time. We experience weather every day, but did you ever wonder what is really going on up there? This class will walk you through a conceptual understanding of the physics of clouds, storm formation, and common weather patterns. We will also cover some implications of these concepts for extreme weather in a warming world.
